Second Round of Ideas

I have started using google sketchup and talking more with my wife about some ideas she might like to incorporate into the home addition.

Here are the sketches that I have come up with:

My wife was inspired by the left side of this image for a kitchen that opens to a courtyard or patio type area :

And this image for a sun room that might add light to adjacent dining room with architectural detail windows 

I took this all into consideration and altered my floor plans to look thus:

I know this allots no space for hvac etc. but here is the upstairs for the two twelve foot dormers:

Some other considerations for this remodel - we will be needing all new windows and possibly new siding for all old portions of the house.  The current windows are not in the best condition - and the siding is rather old vinyl siding.
